Douching is not something you should do if you are healthy and balanced. However, there are many natural home remedies for yeast infection that don’t require douching. Do not push the douching solution too high towards the cervix or uterus. You should also be careful when removing the nozzle. Injuries to the vaginal walls can lead to more serious bacterial and yeast contamination.
It is produced naturally by bacteria in your vagina. It also kills yeast. You can make a douching solution by combining equal parts of raspberry, sage, and mullein with 1/4 of goldenseal. Make a cup of tea using four tablespoons of the herb mixture and a quarter cup water. Boil the mixture for 15 to 20 minutes, then strain out the herbs and let it cool to body temperature. Two table spoonfuls cider vinegar and one table spoonful powdered acidophilus are all you need. Or perhaps 1/4 cup yogurt.
You can use it every other day until symptoms subside. For more severe yeast infections, you should douche every day. You can also use acidic douches to restore the normal pH of your vagina. This can be quite unfriendly for yeast. A solution that includes water, two table spoonfuls of white vinegar, half a lemon juice, and one table spoonful ascorbic acid could be created. This can be used daily to treat minor yeast infections, or in combination with other treatments for more serious infections.
Make a paste with slick elm powder and minimal water to relieve itching. Then, use it as needed. Another option is to keep natural aloe vera juice in the fridge. Then, saturate a cotton pad and apply it to the vulva. Slick elm and aloe vera will only relieve itching. They won’t eliminate yeast. Therefore, they should be combined with an antifungal remedy.
