¿Qué saber sobre mi corazón?

Our heart is an internal organ that pumps blood through our bodies. The bloodstream carries many things that are essential for life, to include oxygen given by the lungs, food given by the digestive organs, infection-fighting white blood cells, and a pickup service to take out the garbage, so to speak.

So, if we would like to ascribe our morality, our reason for being here, our soul, to some place in our body, it is to the heart, rather than the mind, that would perish without the heart’s life-giving blood. It looks like the purer we are, the more in touch we are with the purposeful qualities that we maintain in our hearts. Native Americans as a wide ethnic group appear to have that purity. I know it is a mistake to group a people widely.

The various tribes of Native Americans were similar to the various tribes of Europe that became different nations. The exact same can be said for people of Africa, West and East Asia. I’ve seen this caliber depicted in movies about famous Native Americans. Both Geronimo, a Chiricahua Apache, and Crazy Horse, an Oglala Lakota (Oglala Sioux) are believed to have had the capacity to look into the eyes of a tribesman who strayed from his people’s purpose to inquire, “Where’s your heart?” So as to get back their allegiance.

So, I ask you, “Do you understand your heart?” We contemporary Americans are a extremely distracted people. Perhaps that’s somewhat because of our diluted blood lines. We’ve lost touch with our tribal ancestry since our DNA is of many tribes. Some believe that makes us stronger.

Others believe that makes us blood thirsty. We seem to have the ability to alter the direction of our heart, and in today’s age, the influences on us to perform it are strong and relentless. Religions, societal pressure, political enlightenment, greed, love, power, and survival are some of the principal influences that could lead us astray from the goal of our heart to send us off in a brand new direction. If we have been world-shapers such as Geronimo or Crazy Horse were, we could take a number of different hearts along with us. But, the question stands.

Nota final

Do you do things with your life free of perception as to why you do them? Perhaps you should reflect on where’s your heart. When the noon period of your life comes, you’ll look back on what you’ve done with your life, and you’ll know whether you’ve been true to your purpose or not. The noon time is basically at the end of three-quarters of your lifetime, at retirement, or normally around sixty-years-old. I’m at the noon period of my life. I know my heart. I listen to it. It tells me to write.
