So often in life, we do not care and think about how many things work until something goes wrong. The exact same can be said about our own bodies also. We do not ever stop to think “What’s keeping me healthy and what can I do to help?” If you find yourself being sick again and again, then now’s the time to begin considering your wellbeing and the health of your immune system!
Schauen wir mal...
We first have to know what the immune system is and the way it protects our bodies. The immune system is a powerful and complicated network of organs and cells which protects us from “foreign” invaders (or antigens) such as germs, microbes, bacteria, parasites, and toxins from entering the body by creating a mechanical barrier (the skin). If one of those invaders gets through the barrier, the immune system produces white blood cells and cells targeted to attack and conquer the foreign substances.
The following step the immune system takes is to locate the antigen and eliminate it from your system before it has an opportunity to reproduce and damage the machine. However, the immune system can often break down from time to time, allowing antigens the chance to reproduce resulting in a variety of illnesses and diseases. When this happens, your immune system revs up to fight off the invaders (this may explain why we get fevers). Most of the timeour body and our immune system are powerful enough to fight the foreign invaders which lead to deteriorating health.

But sometimes our immune system becomes weakened and can’t defend itself against each antigen. The outcome! You get sick. This is sometimes called immune deficiency. As you age it becomes increasingly more challenging for your immune system to work properly – increasing your probability of getting infections. Also, poor nutrition, stress, an unhealthy lifestyle, and environmental toxins compromise your health and/or immune system. There are numerous important facets of your life and lifestyle that may help support your immune system and keep you and your family safe from unwanted viruses, bacteria, and parasites. Nutrition, exercise, and sleep all play substantial roles in shaping the strength of your immune system.
Kep in mind
Maintaining a healthy eating habit and integrating antioxidant vitamins into your daily diet not only boost your immunity from these “foreign” invaders, but also provide essential support and nourishment to your immune system. Getting adequate rest and exercise can also be incredibly beneficial to immune lifespan and support longevity. By taking these simple, preventative measures a strong and healthy immune system may guard against illness from invading pathogens and allow you to prevent more serious immune disorders.
Now that we have discussed what our incredibly resilient and powerful immune system is and the way we can take simple, yet preventative steps to help our immune system keep us healthy. Also let us discuss why it’s so important to keep complete immune support! Everyone has suffered from some type of cold or disease. A vast majority of us have experienced the pain and hassle of cuts and scratches that became infected. In situations such as these, we’re all used to our own bodies coming into our defense and recovery by itself.
There are, however, situations in which the body can’t heal itself, as soon as an immune deficiency takes hold and may compromise ones health. But, you don’t need to let bad immune health keep you from being with the people you love and the activities you enjoy! Take pride in following a nutritious diet. Find joy in getting regular exercise. Make it a priority to get loads of rest. And quit undermining your health! Health and Longevity Bodyguard!
